2004 Deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department

" By being a loyal servant of his political bosses, Kayveas has done a lot of damage to the dignity and well-being of Indians in the country. Once he advocated the closure of Tamil schools. When the nine non-Muslim cabinet ministers served a memorandum on the prime minister regarding the grave implications of the M Moorthy case, Kayveas sought to capitalise on the issue by calling for their resignations instead. His sole ambition is to become a minister and to ensure this, he would belittle even small efforts in improving the image and dignity of the Indian community." - P.Ramasamy, Former UKM professor

“I think national schools are adequate to cater for the educational needs of Malaysians. If the government can make Tamil language a compulsory subject (for Indian students) there, then we can just close down Tamil schools (malaysiakini, 03/04/03)", liar Kayveas said four years ago (........more)

Seenivasagam to join the party, he said: "How can I be expelled by the MCA at that time when in 1972 I was still an MCA minister?

"How can I apply to join PPP when I’m still a MCA member? "Our friend was still in school in 1969. What does he know?"
