Senator S.Ramakrishnan, 5/12/2011

Deputy education minister Wee Ka Siong can complete the SJK© Yong Peng on time to start enrolment on 1st January 2012 but the adjacent Tamil school which was promised to be completed at the same time but nowhere to been seen. The deputy minister must inform the public as to why the Tamil school next door not built even though land was made available. Is the deputy minister only minister for Chinese schools and not Tamil school? The land and money allocation was made available 2 years ago for Tamil School to be built but Yong Peng Indians still don’t have a proper Tamil school. Deputy minister, why the discriminatory treatment for Yong Peng Tamil school?

Senator S Ramakrishnan, Sept 28 2010

The UMNO MPs and senators think that Tamil and Chinese schools are the root cause for racial disunity in this country. They always argue and blame in parliament that Indian and Chinese parents are not concerned about national language and unity. Many non Malay MPs and community leaders have spoken and written about this issue many times. But these UMNO leaders who are like the frog in the well which has never seen the sea, just cannot understand.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- "Don't just censor but ban Tamil movies and dramas which depict excessive violence."

This is the impassioned call made by community leaders and academicians who are gravely concerned over the growing gangsterism among Indian youths in the country.

Malaysia Hindu Sangam president R. S. Mohan Shan said some Tamil movies were found to have 'coached' youths on how to be involved in crime although it defied logic when it involved reality.
