If you think the international fireworks competition held at Putrajaya was dazzling, come and see the fireworks in Maika AGM , tomorrow, at Sime Darby convention centre, Bukit Kiara. Samy Vellu and his opponents are gearing up for a confrontation. Former MIC president Subramaniam has joined the fray where his supporters have been working overtime persuading Maika members to attend the meeting and also getting signatures in proxy forms, if they are unable to attend.

Subramaniam gave a press conference two days ago proposing to sell the Maika’s insurance arm to any Indian based company. Also, he commented on the Makkal Osai suspension. Most of the print media including Bernama were present but none carried his news. Not sure if there was any divine intervention to block the news.

Tamil Nesan
called for inquiry

Malaysian Internal Security Ministry has summoned Tamil Nesan for an inquiry over several police reports made against the Tamil daily, today, according to a reliable source. Works minister Samy Vellu who owns the daily had republished the smoking Jesus Christ caricature one day after Makkal Osai but the prints were recalled in time before distribution. However, some copies did reach the public. Makkal Osai readers are clamoring to apply the same standard in the case of Tamil Nesan. Again, you may see divine intervention.
