MIC: Chennai Silk Palace

Contributed by Anonymous on Saturday, March 10 @ 10:05:11 CST

MIC
The hot topic in Klang town sometime ago was about the Istana Zakaria (Zakaria Palace) which was built without approval from town council that has 17 rooms.

But another palace, Chennai Silk Palace opened during Deepavali time last year, received much less attention.  Textile shops are mushrooming around Jalan Tenku Kelana, nothing new about it, probably every month some guy will start another textile shop. So what is so interesting about Chennai Silk Palace?

First, the strategically located building close to Selangor Sultan’s palace in Klang that belonged to Maika Holdings estimated to be worth RM 9 million was sold for RM 4.6 million to Chennai Silk Palace. Why?

Second, the word ‘Palace’ is missing from the sign board.  Why?

Sources say, the man behind the whole deal is an MP of Selangor, Parliament Secretary and also a youthful prominent MIC leader.
