PUTRJAYA - THE infamous mattress of the 1998 sodomy trial was brought up again on Monday when Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim alleged that his blood was forcibly extracted and smeared on it.

He fingered Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan, who was then the investigating officer, for rrdering police to smear the mattress with his blood, the New Straits Times reported on Tuesday.

After the defeat in Taiping Parliamentary seat in the 12^th General elections, political clown Kayveas was dead silent. The People's Progressive Party (PPP) youth leader and deputy minister Murugiah out shined him in every way and at times looked as if he is the president of the party considering the wide press coverage he gets in Tamil dailies. This certainly may have evoked Kayveas ire and thus the warning of sacking.

“Murugiah was behind time in talking about the merger with Gerakan and that further statements from him could see the party asking for him to be sacked from his post in the government”, Kayveas said according to NST report.
